Artwork guide

Good files make good print. Here is what we need, and the full guide as a PDF.

The essentials

• Format: press-ready PDF. We can also work from high-resolution JPG, TIFF, AI, PSD or INDD packaged files.
• Bleed: 3mm on every edge that prints to the edge, with crop marks if your software adds them.
• Safe zone: keep text and logos at least 3mm inside the trim edge.
• Colour: CMYK, not RGB. Rich black for solid areas: C60 M40 Y40 K100.
• Resolution: 300dpi at final size for leaflets, cards and booklets. Large-format boards and banners can be 100 to 150dpi at final size.
• Fonts: embedded or converted to outlines.
• Booklets: single pages in reading order, not spreads. Page count must divide by four.
